Graduated from West Covina HS (Calif.) in 1963, attended Mt. San Antonio Jr College as business major before enlisting in U.S. Marines, served from March 1963 to December 1970 with one year in Vietnam. Attended the University of Texas in Austin as Electrical Engineering major while in service, went to California State University Sonoma on G.I. Bill in 1971 graduating from Hutchins School of Liberal Studies in 1973. Hired as Public Affairs Officer for federal I.R.S. in 1974, sent to U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., for training in 1975 where he met Patricia. Worked as research analyst for private government watchdog at legislature from 1979 through 1986, was on senate staff from January 1987 to 1993, and became research analyst for the Arizona School Boards Association in 1998. Email as Mike. Graduated from Wildwood Catholic HS (NJ) in 1969. Graduated from St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, Md, in 1973 with Political Science major, education minor. Received Masters in Educational Administration from Arizona State University in 1986. Began teaching at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic school in Vienna, Va., working summer as National Park Service Monument guide in Washington, D.C. where she met Michael. Moved to Phoenix, Az, in 1976 where she was state office manager for the Jimmy Carter Presidential campaign. Became campaign office manager for the Bruce Babbitt gubernatorial campaign in 1978. Hired as teacher in Pendergast ESD in 1979. Became Director of Curriculum at Pendergast before becoming assistant principal at Desert Horizon Elementary School. Hired as assistant principal in Deer Valley USD in 1991, becoming principal of Las Brisas Elementary School in 1993. Email as Pat.

Married on St. Patrick's Day in 1990. Michael and Patricia live in central Phoenix. Patrick was born at Good Samaritan Hospital.
