Graduated from Wildwood HS (NJ) in 1936. Enlisted in U.S. Army in 1940, was commissioned as officer in 1941, served as officer of all Black unit in the China- Burma- India theater during WWII. Graduated from Wildwood HS (NJ) in 1938. Graduated from St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, Md, in 1942 with Mathematics major, Latin minor. Began teaching in Emmitsburg HS in 1942.
Engaged during WWII, married on February 9, 1946. Lived in North Wildwood doing construction. Built and opened beach grill in conjunction with Raymond's brother Frank. Later built and operated Driftwood and then Time and Tide motels in North Wildwood. Raymond served as Building Inspector for North Wildwood.
